Bio

Angela White is an accomplished arts educator and fine artist whose work has been featured in both corporate and private collections for decades. With her husband, writer Gareth Branwyn, Angela lives in Benicia, CA and is an active member of the arts community there, embracing its vibrant culture and surrounding natural beauty.

Angela’s artistic creations are deeply influenced by physical, spiritual, and emotional memories, which contribute to the depth and complexity of her pieces. Her work primarily focuses on abstract seascapes, employing natural and sensual materials like oils and encaustic to achieve a seamless blend of edges, thus enhancing the visual depth of her work. Her seascapes are more than mere representations; they capture the serene mysteries and power of the natural world.

The tumultuous period of the pandemic inspired Angela to find solace and order through daily meditative walks. During these walks, she collected small, discarded objects and natural fragments. This inspired her to expand her work to include assemblage found-art boxes, adding another unique dimension to her artistic practice.

Over the past 25 years, Angela's work in oil, encaustic, and mixed media has been showcased in numerous juried exhibitions spanning the DC metropolitan area, New York, and the West Coast. She is academically accomplished, holding two B.A. degrees and an M.A. degree from the University of Maryland.
